BERLIN, GERMANY – Thursday, 31 July 2014 – Today, 6Wunderkinder unveils the highly anticipated Wunderlist 3. More than just an update, Wunderlist 3 is a huge leap forward for the much loved to-do list that will see the accelerated growth of the already existing 8 million users and the 450 million list items. Thanks to a brand new design, a completely re-engineered architecture, including a lightning-fast Real-time Sync and more than 60 improvements, Wunderlist 3 is geared for growth. What’s more, this update sees the arrival of Public Lists, a new way to create, discover and share lists online, ensuring Wunderlist is the home of all the world’s lists.

“Wunderlist has always been about enabling people to create and manage their lists. Now, with Wunderlist 3, we are introducing a platform, for all the world’s lists, where people can discover and benefit from the knowledge of others. Whether you share your grocery list with a loved one, or create a public list of your favorite restaurants in Paris, making and discovering lists has never been easier,” says Christian Reber, Founder and CEO, Wunderlist.

Public Lists enables people to share lists of all the things they love and know, to inspire, educate and influence the world around them. Once a list is public, it can be shared with the world through Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and messages or even be embedded into blogs and websites. People who discover a public list online can easily save the list to their own Wunderlist just by clicking the “Add to Wunderlist” button.

Wunderlist 3 also introduces a completely reengineered Real-time Sync that is now more powerful than ever before. The new Real-time Sync enables instant communication and collaboration with family, friends and colleagues around any shared list. Every list item, comment and update instantly appears right before your eyes across all devices, keeping your life in sync.

01/23/2014 6Wunderkinder Kicks Off 2014 With its First Silicon Valley Based Hire

BERLIN, GERMANY — Thursday, 23 January 2014 — 6Wunderkinder, the maker of the Wunderlist productivity app, has appointed James Murdock as their Vice President of Business and Corporate Development. Previously Director of Business Affairs and AGC at Mozilla and Senior Counsel at Google, James will be responsible for driving Wunderlist user acquisition through key global partnerships across numerous industries, including mobile, personal computing and automotive.

The hire signals yet another win for the Berlin based startup, who just recently announced a $19 million financing round, led by Sequoia Capital, and was named the “2013 App of the Year” in the Mac App Store. With James on board, 6Wunderkinder is set for accelerated global growth, with their first stop being the USA.

“Based in Silicon Valley James is the first ‘Wunderkind’ located in the US and will head up our operations there. With James’ experience and proven track record as a dealmaker, we couldn’t be more excited to have him on board to lead our efforts in propelling the growth of Wunderlist”, said Christian Reber, 6Wunderkinder Founder and CEO.

Over the past decade, James has played an important role in bringing great technologies to more people through strategic partnerships with key industry players. While at Google, he championed several major commercial deals for many of the company's core products and emerging business units with partners such as Verizon, Samsung, Acer, NBC, HBO, Adobe. At Mozilla, James set the commercial framework for Firefox OS and led the negotiations for the first two mobile development and distribution deals with Telefonica and Deutsche Telekom. Most recently, he was leading business development and strategy efforts for Mozilla’s WebRTC initiatives.

Now as a “Wunderkind”, James will be focused on securing strategic partnerships to scale Wunderlist's global growth. “I’ve always gravitated towards small and highly talented teams trying to win big in their category. Wunderlist is a beautifully designed app that is leading the way in helping both individuals and teams be more productive. As winners of Mac ‘App of the Year’ for 2013, as well as numerous other accolades, I’m excited to be joining such a highly-talented team that is committed to reinforcing Wunderlist’s position as the global leader in the task management space.”, said James Murdock, Vice President of Business and Corporate Development.

12/18/2012 6Wunderkinder introduces Wunderlist 2

BERLIN, GERMANY – Tuesday, 18 December 2012 – 6Wunderkinder, today announces the arrival of Wunderlist 2. Available for free on iPhone, Mac, Android, Windows and Web, the much loved cross platform, cloud based productivity app has been completely reengineered, rebuilt and redesigned. Starting with brand new native apps across all devices, a super charged Cloud Sync, and a host of new features, including those most requested by users — Reminders, along with Recurring and Subtasks. Then finished off with the relentless polishing of every single user interface and creative element.

“Wunderlist 2 is our best and most comprehensive app yet. It goes beyond a simple to-do list and establishes itself as a trusted daily companion”, said Christian Reber, Founder and CEO. “We have looked at every single element of the original Wunderlist and asked ourselves how can we make it even better. So we started at the very beginning, the very core of what has made Wunderlist a success to date — cross platform, ease of use and a beautiful design. Then we began to rebuild with the highest level of precision that will allow for the continued evolution of Wunderlist.”

Originally built in Titanium Wunderlist 2 has now been rebuilt in an all new native apps on all major devices — iPhone, Mac, Android, Windows and the Web, just to begin with. The switch to native apps guarantees you will experience a lightning fast and a seriously stable performance no matter what and how many different devices you are using throughout the day. It also allows the development team to accurately scale and roll out updates on a regular basis. Furthermore thanks to the brand-new Cloud Sync your list details will automatically be synchronized between devices and shared lists without you even noticing.

The most requested features — Reminders, along with Recurring and Subtasks have been added to make sure you have all the tools you need to get things done. Simply open the Detail View of each list item and add as little or as much detail as you like. Here you can also add Notes. Now with web link integration, auto save and the ability to attach and detach a note from a task (allowing you to work in the Detail View or out of the app), Wunderlist 2 has your note taking requirements well and truly covered.

Along with the added new features the user interface of Wunderlist 2 has been completely reworked to be even simpler, yet more intelligent. Just take a look at the main window and you’ll see that there is no longer a bottom bar. Instead of having filters permanently visible Wunderlist 2 now features Smart Lists that only appear when a list item contains a certain attribute, for example Starred or a due date of Today.

You will also experience the new user interface at play with the Sharing and Notifications. Thanks to the integration of your devices’ Address Book and Facebook all your contacts are just a couple of clicks away in Wunderlist 2. Once you’ve shared a list, you can then customize the way you want to be kept informed. Depending on your preference you can receive updates via push or email notifications or simply head to the in app Activity Center.

The Wunderlist 2 experience is then finished off with a complete redesign to include all new stunning graphics, that look even better on retina displays. Just take a look at the pixel perfect icon, the subtle life like texture of the Task paper and the handmade pictograms in the sidebar.

More than just a to-do list Wunderlist 2 is a daily companion that can be counted on to help you get things done, whether you are organizing an overseas adventure, sharing a shopping list with a loved one or simply keeping track of your daily to-dos. To create your own Wunderlist 2 account please download Wunderlist at www.6wunderkinder.com/wunderlist and sign up.

February 2012

01/31/2012 6Wunderkinder Launches Public Beta of Project Management tool for individuals and groups

Wunderkit has been built with mass collaboration in mind and offers a seamless experience that can easily be adopted into any individual‘s life. Wunderkit can be used on both desktop or iPhone where all of the user‘s data will remain identical from device-to-device thanks to the use of cloud synchronization technology. Users will be able to create ‘workspaces‘ that can house members and individuals within the platform can collaborate on projects. Once an individual joins a workspace they can view and create content straightaway.

These apps will help with every aspect of creating, planning, organizing and accomplishing things. Everything is fully searchable and is automatically synchronized between the platform and iOS device. The ‘home‘ page allows the user to view all recent activity, status updates and important tasks from all of their workspaces.

In addition to opening up the service, 6Wunderkinder also announced details of its new Pro model. Free users can collaborate with anyone inside a workspace they own. They can also join other workspaces to read the content. But if they want to create and edit content in other workspaces, they need a Pro account. Both accounts let the user create an infinite amount of workspaces, and even if a user was to choose a free account, collaboration is still a key aspect of the product.

In the last 15 months we watched thousands of individuals switch from previous task management tools to Wunderlist because it offered something new and improved the way they managed their daily lives. March 2011

03/09/2011 Wunderlist, iPhone's #1 cloud connected productivity app, crosses one million unique downloads, and expands to Android

6Wunderkinder, makers of Apple App Store’s #1 productivity app Wunderlist, announced today that it is launching its app on the Android platform. Over the past two months, Wunderlist has become a phenomenon in the crowded productivity tool category – with users downloading the app more than one million times and logging more than 7 million tasks. Wunderlist’s availability on Android follows closely on the heels of Wunderlist HD being released on the iPad.

The company says that its ability to expand to new devices and platforms so quickly is because Wunderlist was built using Appcelerator’s Titanium platform. “Time-to-market is critical for us, and Titanium lets developers write mobile apps for multiple platforms from one code-base. We were able to publish Wunderlist to iPhone, iPad, Android, PC, and Mac while reusing 90% of the base code. That’s an enormous cost and time savings compared to building each app in a separate language, not to mention the time-to-market advantage this has given us,” noted Christian Reber, CEO of 6Wunderkinder.

Creating a Great App Experience
A driving force behind Wunderlist’s success is that it doesn’t require more time to use than it saves, like so many productivity tools do. The company mirrored how people manage their tasks now — by using lists, “sticky” notes, email — and made it faster to do on a mobile and desktop app. Wunderlist also enhances email functionality by allowing users to manage tasks right from their inbox.

“To create such a great user experience we had to tap into all the native features of the phone,” said Sebastian Kreutzberger, CTO of 6Wunderkinder. “Appcelerator’s Titanium platform let us integrate things like push notifications and native UI controls so that it really looks and feels like a native app.”

Sharing Through the Cloud
Wunderlist allows users to share their task lists with one another, enabling easy collaboration among colleagues, family, and friends. For example, users can add tasks to one another’s lists, and then send a push notification to alert them that a new task has been added.

This sharing is possible because Appcelerator’s Titanium enables Wunderlist to automatically sync to the cloud. As users install apps like Wunderlist on their mobile phones, home PCs, and work laptops, syncing information to the cloud rather than keeping it local becomes central to usability.

“Wunderlist is a great example of how the cloud is being used almost everywhere in mobile apps,” says Jeff Haynie, CEO of Appcelerator. “Wunderlist allows portability of tasks across the multiple devices that we use throughout the day because it’s syncing to the cloud.”

Availability for Wunderlist for Android
Wunderlist is available for free as an iPhone, iPad, Windows and Mac desktop and now Android app, with plans for a web app coming later this week. Interested parties may download the free Android app here: www.6wunderkinder.com/wunderlist.

Everyone has his or her own method to come to terms with the daily flood of pending tasks. With Wunderlist, the young Berlin software-developers 6Wunderkinder created their own digital task manager, which has inspired hundreds of thousands of users since its release three months ago. With the help of this free software, each user can create lists which can be filled with the various tasks demanding attention. Be it a shopping list, a wish list, or a project list: due to its simple use and the sleek design, Wunderlist enjoys an ever-growing popularity.

And the Wunderlist’s killer feature: It is possible to share lists with friends or colleagues in order to jointly tackle forthcoming tasks. Once someone has finished a task, it can simply be scratched off the list.

With Wunderlist, the 6Wunderkinder achieved within less than 10 weeks what other start-ups only dream about. Over 800,000 downloads prove Wunderlist’s strong international popularity. And it is growing still, with over 10,000 new users a day, and more than 3.5 million tasks managed. This week, the US App Store announced Wunderlist as „iPhone app of the week“.

That’s why 6Wunderkinder is currently the hottest German start-up across the board. And it has decided to use its current momentum to further improve Wunderlist in order to make it amenable for all those who so far have not been enjoying increased productivity through the usage of this simple yet genuis application.

Within the next week, 6Wunderkinder will present Wunderlist for the iPad and for Google Android. In addition, there will be a Wunderlist website version, enabling Wunderlist-users to manage their tasks at ease in the browser. „This is the next logical step for us to make Wunderlist available to an ever growing customer-base“, says founder and CEO Christian Reber (24).

Wunderkit, a modern working and productivity platform is supposed to help companies, freelancers, and other groups to connect and work efficiently on one platform that embraces all necessary tools.

The team has a strong focus on a beautiful and effective user interface. Sebastian Scheerer, User Interface Designer at 6Wunderkinder: “The expectations of the user have grown tremendously. People want to use software that is both easy-to-use and look beautiful. They want to be more productive.”

Looking at Wunderlist, a slim and free task manager for Windows, Mac and iPhone, 6Wunderkinder already demonstrated that they can build and launch software that solves problems in an efficient and inspiring manner. During the first seven weeks, the program was downloaded over 180,000 times and more than half a million tasks have been created. The social media fan base of 6Wunderkinder counts tens of thousands of people. There were over 500,000 page views on the website so far.

CEO & Founder Christian Reber says: „That’s a huge success for us. Especially considering wunderlist is just a small tool to show our philosophy; how we think productivity software should work and look like today. With wunderkit we will offer a complete new level of collaboration and productivity to the market. Our goal is to have 250,000 registered users when we will launch wunderkit. Up to now we have over 50,000.”
The High-Tech Gründerfonds will help the 6Wunderkinder both financially and in terms of providing know-how and consulting for their upcoming project.

6Wunderkinder was founded in Berlin (August 2010) by six friends sharing the passion for perfect interface design and cutting edge web development. Lead by the CEO and Founder Christian Reber, the company now has 10 employees and is looking for new people who share our vision and passion. The new investment is followed by a 100,000 Euro Angel round.
